An Actual Parent To His Stepson
Donnie makes an effort to show Evan how much he is loved through his actions. Donnie had given Evan a gift for Christmas, as Jenny McCarthy recalled.
When Donnie informed her that he would cover Evan’s college costs one Christmas, she recalled that it was one of the finest gifts she had ever received.
This is a beautiful example of what it means to have a loving father. The lesson from Donnie’s narrative is that while our own earthly fathers can abandon or reject us, our heavenly Father will never do either. God is always looking out for us and wants what is best for us.
