Mouni was born on 28 September 1985. Right now she is 34 years old. Her date of the place is Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. Her father’s name is Anil Roy who is working as a Police officer (Superintendent). Her mother is a teacher. In childhood, she was average in study.

- She has been selected for the show and later she found the show name Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi(2007) Which was the most popular tv serial at that time.
- In the starting, she was selected for a small role But when Ekta Kapoor views his performance and face then she selects her for Krishna tulsi.
- She quitted her Masters and went to Mumbai.
She worked in this serial for one year. Her reason for quitting the show was that Work balance. She said that she has to spend 36 hours on set for shooting.
Then she participated in Zara Nachke Dikha. It was a dancing show where her team becomes champion of the season 1. Then she did sign Kasturi tv serial it is like her first show.
The next year 2009 she participated in Pati Patni Aur Woh with her boyfriend Gaurav Chopra (yeah big boss 10 contest).
both are open about there relationship. But later on in 2013, their relationship ended.
She also participated in some tv serials in 2010.
In 2011 she signs Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev where she played the role of Sati. The show was amazing. She did it from 2011 to 2014.
In 2011 she did a Punjabi movie Hero Hitler in Love with Babbu Maan.
In 2015 she did 3 tv serials with just a small role.

She also appears in a Song of KGF movie.
But in 2018 she participates in the Gold movie with Akshay Kumar.
