In November of 2014, Chad and Lauren had just given birth to their first child, Everly. Lauren was unaware that Chad planned to make that day even more special than it already was.
Chad had started his shady plan roughly 24 hours after she gave birth to her daughter. He only needed to make sure Lauren saw the surprise written on the onesie her baby was wearing.
Chad had written, “Mommy, will you marry Daddy?” on the onesie. Lauren was shocked when she saw the ring attached to the outfit.
According to Chad, the proposal required a lot of planning. Before Everly was born, it appeared that he had sought assistance from Lauren’s cousin to come up with the idea for the proposal.
At the time of the proposal, members of Chad and Lauren’s family were all present in the hospital room. Even Lauren’s nurses were aware of the surprise and contributed to the smooth operation of the situation.
Lauren’s aunt, who was holding the infant at the time, tells her in the video that she has a dirty diaper. She gave Lauren the baby, and Lauren began to take off the blanket to change the baby.
She is encouraged by her family to show the baby to them and let them see her without her blanket on. Lauren was overjoyed when the baby was unwrapped and she saw the message. She asked right away if it was really happening. She said yes, which was not surprising.
