How To Download Music On Spotify – Easy Ways

Music has never been more accessible than it is today. And that is thanks to applications and platforms like Spotify. The music streaming service has completely revolutionized the listening experience. That’s not to mention how much it has transformed the conventional music distribution system. All you need to listen to millions of songs is the Spotify app and great internet service.

However, what if you want to listen to your music while you are traveling and don’t have access to the internet?

How to Download Your Favorite Spotify Music

For people who love music, not being able to listen to it when needed is very annoying. Many of us feel the need for certain types of music just as keenly as we crave certain foods. And services like the Spectrum Gold package have changed our approach to entertainment with DVRs and the ability to save content as needed. This makes services like Spotify incomplete without the ability to listen to music with no internet access. Luckily, you can download music from Spotify for offline listening. Here is how:

Downloading Playlists, Albums, and Podcasts

The Spotify application has different interfaces for iOS and Android devices. However, downloading the content you want is fairly easy on both types of devices. When you see a playlist, album, or song, look for the downward arrow button.

This is the download button that allows you to download music content and podcast episodes. The download feature is typically available on the premium mobile application only. Once you tap the download button, a green progress bar will indicate your download has started. The speed at which you can download the content will depend on how fast your internet service is.

Accessing Downloaded Content Offline

Once downloaded, the playlists, albums, and podcasts end up in your Spotify library. To access these, open up your application. While you won’t be able to search for music without the internet, you can still access your content library. Any playlists or music albums that you successfully downloaded will be available here.

A green downward arrow will indicate the successful downloads that you can listen to. If you are going to be offline for a while, such as when you are on a plane, you can choose to use Spotify in offline mode. This means you will only see the content you have downloaded, so you can choose what to watch with ease.
